I. Overview
The V-cone throttling device (abbreviated as V-cone) is a new type of differential pressure flow metering device. It overcomes almost all the disadvantages of traditional throttling devices with a unique edge wall gradually contracting throttling method, and is a revolutionary achievement of differential pressure flow meters. Its principle is the same as other differential pressure flow meters, which is the classic principle of energy conservation and flow continuity in closed pipelines, and has self rectification, self-cleaning, and self-protection performance; The straight pipe section requires extremely short, no accumulation of dirt or blockage, and can maintain long-term measurement stability; The high-frequency and low amplitude small noise at the back end of the cone makes the measurement lower limit relatively low, thereby achieving a range of 10:1; Its permanent pressure loss is only one-third of the orifice plate, similar to a Venturi tube. Therefore, it can be widely applied in various fields of the national economy such as petroleum, chemical, power, and heating.
2、 Characteristics
Due to the boundary layer effect, the surface of the cone is protected, and the key dimensions of the cone will not change due to wear, ensuring the long-term stability of measurement accuracy.
● It has self-cleaning characteristics, as the fluid is accelerated along the cone, dirt and impurities cannot remain on the surface of the cone and affect measurement, ensuring long-term stable operation of the instrument.
The on-site straight pipe section requires a very short length, which is a huge advantage that other flow meters cannot achieve and has revolutionary significance in practical applications.
Due to the special structure of the cone, the negative pressure zone produces high-frequency, low amplitude small noise, which has minimal interference with the negative pressure measurement of the orifice plate, allowing for the measurement of smaller differential pressure signals.

● Application scope:
